Altemus is sired by Olympic Amiral 764 (b.1985).  Amiral received the highest score ever at his stallion approvals and was the only stallion in the world to have received all 10's on his gaits.  He is still the highest rated stallion ever tested in Sweden and stood at the Flyinge Stud.  Under Kyra Kyrkland, Amiral won numerous dressage titles and competed at the 1996, and later with Peter Marnke, the 2000 Olympics (placing as the number one Swedish horse).  In 1997, Amiral and Kyra won the Hamburg Derby, the Copenhagen Kur, and the Helsinki Kur and were 5th in both Aachen and at their first World Cup in Hertogenbosch, earning Amiral 3rd place in the World Ranking of Breeding Stallions for 1997.  He competed in the Gothenburg International Horse Show in 2001, finishing 4th in the Freestyle Grand Prix Keur and 5th in the Short Grand Prix.   Amiral has only 3 approved sons in the world (including Altemus), has the highest overall BLUP (Best Linear Unbiased Prediction) index of all Swedish stallions in the world, and has been known for producing both excellent dressage and jumping horses. From the 2000 testing, his BLUP scores were as follows:

Walk- 182
Trot- 160
Canter- 155
Temperament and Rideability- 192

Adelian won numerous times at Dresage at Devon with several perfect 10 scores.  She was also Champion USDF Horse of the Year, Reserve Champion horse of the year, top three in year end eventing, top three in AHSA Hunter breeding, and all of her dressage scores were over 74%.  J. Adelian has produced 3 approved stallions, Altemus, Opus, and Rubicon Z as well as 2 premium mares, Paradel and Ranara.  J. Adelian has recently been ranked 4th in the USA for producing USDF Series Finalists in 2000-2003 and ranked 6th in producing USDF Series Grand Champion-Reserve Grand Champion in 2000-2003.  J.
