Altemus is doing extremely well.  He is completely sound and is back undersaddle, although he will not be showing this season.  He has been moved back up to the stallion station at Amethyst Acres to finish up the breeding season, and thus will be readily available for collections.

I am sad to post this, but Altemus has punctured and lacerated his knee.  He is doing very well and is sound, but will take some time to recover.  I will post updates, but I am unsure at this time whether he will be showing this season or not.  He will still be available for breeding.

We have had some bad weather, but Altemus will start back into jumper training once the snow clears.  He will of course be available for breeding this season, though he will not be spending the whole season at the stallion station this year.  He will be there for a few weeks later in the breeding season, but will still be available for collections at any time, as long as I have a day or two advance notice.  In addition, I will be breeding a foal or two of my own this year, and will have my broodmares pictures up soon.

September 9th

Now that the breeding season had ended, Altemus has moved from the stallion station and is now back in training!  He will hopefully be showing in jumpers by next year.

Altemus had a stunning little filly born on April 1st, out of a gorgeous Morgan mare.  Her name is April Anette and her owner says she plans to keep this one!  Pictures of her are now up under the offpsring link.

On April 23, 2007 a lovely Altemus colt was born.  The colt is out of MCG Anthracite, a beautiful and tall Morgan mare.  The colt has Altemus' conformation and will make either a jumper or a dressage horse, with his long legs, huge stride, and powerful haunches.  Antares will be registered and inspected with the AWS.  He is owned by Candace Costis and is offered for sale. SOLD

Altemus has been Approved for Breeding with the American Warmblood Society!  He has earned one star and is listed as Altemus*.  We have decided that we don't want to put him through the 100 or 30 day test, so we are currently working towards obtaining his dressage requirements needed for approval with RPSI and ISR/OLD N.A.

Altemus will not be available for breeding July 4-8.
